The Chief Electoral Officer
India is the largest democracy in the world. Elections are the cornerstone of a vibrant democracy. The Constitutions of India have vested in the Election Commission of India (ECI) the superintendence, direction and control of the entire process for the conduct of elections to the Parliament and Legislative of every State and to the office of President and Vice President of India. The Chief Electoral Officer of the State supervises the Election work, under the superintendence, directions and control of the ECI. The Election Commission of India has emphasized the greater public information & outreach capacity, transparency, capacity building and empowerment of the citizens by setting up the Website and carrying out awareness campaign. The launching of this updated Website will bring awareness among the voters about the statutory provisions under which the election machinery operates; inform them about their rights and duties. We seek the active cooperation of all the citizens of Arunachal Pradesh for setting up a truly citizen friendly, fair & transparent system. We will be glad to receive feed-back about this Website, which would facilitate us further improvement .
